Sylver Myst is formed late 2001 by several friends from South-East Brabant in the Netherlands.

The band exists from six musicians who find their inspiration at several musical influences. The style of the band was already defined as melodious rock, progressive sopranic metal and symphonic gothic metal. Their music includes all these elements and still much more.

To get a broader sound they attract a keyboardplayer (Bart Spackler).

Just before the recording of their first demo guitarplayer Didier Roumen joins the band. In May 2002 the first demo is a fact. It contains two songs: The Flightless Dove and The Bleeding Snowlands.

After a few gigs the band gets a new drummer Marc jaspers and a new vocalist Marjolein Hüsken

Both gitaristen of Sylver Myst started on their sixteenth with guitar playing. Guitar player Rob van Dijk is one the founding members of Sylver Myst. He listens to bands such as "Kiss", "Frank Boeijen Group" and "Nightwish" he flirts therefore gladly with several musical styles. He has played in Death-Doom Metal bands and Black Power Metal bands.

Lead guitar player Didier has been inspired by bands such as "Metallica", "Guns'n'Roses" and "Pink Floyd". Before he came at Sylver Myst, he was a part of the death metal coverband "We're Not!" and grungeband.

On its ninth tests Martijn in het Veld started with organ. A couple year later he changed to a simple keyboard and infested its tests in several bands with styles varying of Progressive Metal to Black and Death metal.

At present the Korg karma are its suffering object.

From age ten Marjolein Hüsken sings. And as eleven-year-old she started with flute lessons. Then at seventeen she starts the first traditional song lessons. She sang in several choirs, both classical and traditionally. At tilburgs students symphony orchestra "Ananta" she played the first flute.

Marjolein has more traditional than pop-cd's. The combination of Classical music and Metal is a fovorite of her.

Drummer Marc Jaspers en bassist Marco Brugmans were around twenty when they stepped in the musical world. Marc added themselves at the Metal Rock band "Rancour". With that he played support Gig of bands such as "Direct" and "Kane".

Playing live is for all band members their desire and their life. They have already rapidly built a respectable live-reputation.

The close cooperation with the Female Fronted Gothic Bands Booking Agency

gave wich started in januari 2005 has resulted in a big impulse in the bands gigs.

Sylver Myst has already performed in their short excistence as a support-act for After Forever”, “Leaves’ Eyes”, “Elis”, “Nemesea”, “The Dreamside” en “Tanzwut”.

In November 2003 the band recorded their second demo Strains of Souls.

The Demo has three tracks Waiting for a new day, Lovtred and the titelsong Strains of souls.

Sylver Myst only play their own songs. They find their inspiration in all kinds of different musicical currents. The style is not be described in just one word. One calls it Gothic and the other calls it symphonic Metal. I prefer it be called Atmospheric Progressive Gothica (©The Doorway Master)

In Jan 2006 the band signed a record deal.with the new American label Sirenette Music Industries. A few month’s later they started recording at Excess Studio’s in Rotterdam. The result is the brand new CD “Emotions Revealed”. From the 16^th September 2006 Sylver Myst have released their first Full album
