The power behind Warrel Dane's vocals is unmistakable, whether he is screaming, whispering or threatening. That is why this album has the emotional impact that it does; these vocals along with the sharp axe attack and captivating arrangements keep me coming back for more. Nothing can beat singing the chorus to 'Tianamen Man' as I'm speeding down the highway yelling "Manipulate the Media!" as I'm coming home from work.

The only concern I have with this album is that it does contain some filler material...if all the songs were as strong as the opening 3 tracks and 'The Tienamen Man' I'd rate this album a lot higher than I have. If you are into mainstream thrash like older Metallica and Megadeth, Testament and the like, you're sure to love Nevermore. Then be prepared to witness the power behind lyrics such as "I don't want to be saved, I'm next in line to die." Be next in line to get Nevermore.
