Formed in 1993. They come from Helmond - The Netherlands.

Casual Silence started in 1993 with 3 lead singers of different bands.

Rob seems to be the right lead singer while Eric and Ernst both are doing

backing vocals and playing bass guitar and guitar.

Together with Mark and Igor, they started as a rock cover band

which grew into a progressive rock band that now plays their own music.

In 1997 they released Bad Side Memories ,

they got the chance to proof them selves on different stages.

Casual Silence has proven to be a real festival Killer !

In 1999 they released de maxi-EP Shamelessly Dressed,

wich proves that the band is still growing in diversity.

David left the band during autumn 2000 for a fulltime music studie,

after a few months the band met Henry Meeuws,

who already had experience playing in another band.

Casual Silence played live with bands like The Gathering,

Ricocher and Skyclad and also had a few radio performences.

They had a lot of good reviews in national rock magazines and local papers.

The band is working on a new full length CD

and they are also looking forward to play live on stage in United Kingdom,

Belgium, Germany and France.

Henry Meeuws

In 2001 they released a demo-cd, simply called Demo 2001.

wich got them more gigs and airplay (o.a. Arrow Classic Rock) in 2002.

In Januari 2003 they began studio-rehearsels for the new CD,

wich is to expected in March 2003.

CASUAL SILENCE new album is released in late march/begin april 2003.

It is called Once in a blue moon.

Dear Casual Silence fans,

The recordings of our new album “Lost in Life” take a favourable turn. Now, after a very fluent drum session by Igor, we can proudly pronounce Casual Silence is co-operating with no less than Damian Wilson. This nice English rock vocalist is known for instance from Treshold, Landmarq, Les Miserable (En) and of course his participation at projects of Ayreon, Star One and Aina. In the mean time Damian has sung a whole Casual Silence song. The next week the vocals of Rob, Ernst and Eric will be recorded. And as a dessert Sandra Peeters will also participate in a special way on this album. The mixing of the album is planned for November. More news and pictures soon.

Dear Casual Silence fans,

The long awaited album “Lost In Life” is almost done and is expected to hit the stores early March 2007. Fortunately we found in Rock Inc. a distribution label to release the album in the Benelux, Germany, France and Spain. Now the band is preparing to make a giant show of the presentation of the album, which will take place in Helmond on March 3rd, 2007. More information about this follows on this site soon. The album with beautiful artwork of Erwin Munsters (Once In a Blue Moon, Room XVII) clocks in more than an hour, and is a concept album consisting of the following tracks:
