CD Presentation Casual Silence-Once in a blue Moon

On Saturday 12 April Casual silence celebrated her 10th birthday with the presentation of their newest CD Once in a blue Moon.

It all happened in Rocktempel Plato. Visit Plato’s Website at http://www.plato.helmondweb.nl/

After a spectacular intro Casual Silence came on stage.

The whole new album Once in a blue Moon was played entirely. With a great sound and a beautiful lightshow Casual Silence gave a wonderful show.

Special guest Sandra Peeters of the band V-Male

was invited for a  duet with Casual Silence front man Rob Laarhoven for the  number "Dreamweaver". After an hour the band left the stage. After that they played an encore of 20 minutes. With a nice surprise  "A Dream Left Behind" from the solo project Medea of Henry Meeuws, keyboard player of Casual Silence. It was beautifully played  by singer  Rob Laarhoven and Henry Meeuws on acoustical guitar and with a second special guest Marina van der Aa. You can hear Marina on the CD "Individual Unique" from Medea.

"Once in a blue moon", a book full of emotions, a record of passion en feelings.
After 10 years hard work at there own sound but also at there own identity. Casual Silence has definitely succeeded to come out of the closet for the big public. The record Once in a blue moon is a top-production, it sounds heavy and bubbly at the same time. The arrangements are just wright and the lyrics are following the road that was followed for the last ten years.

It are the lyrics who form the basics for the emotions who are a constance in their music.

Rob Laarhoven and Eric Smits are great songwriters and can easily symbolise their state of mind unto music paper. On Once in a blue moon we get the chance to look deep into their souls.

For those of you who know them this will be a revelation ,for the neutral listener this story will be a revelation unto itself. Both gentlemen write autobiographical and describe their feelings about love, hatred, fear and joy, seen from  their personal view.

On one of the songs Ernst le Cocq d’Armandville makes his debut as a Lyrical-writer he has chosen to write his emotions unto paper. The future is bright and lays wide open for this band and its fragile open-minded Prog-Rock. Hail to Casual Silence.

Next Month Casual Silence shall play again in rocktempel Plato.
On Friday 16 may Casual Silence will play as a support-act with English progressive rock band Jadis.
